Outings-Leisure | Avignon: Chimène Badi sings Johnny with 200 singers
The Avignon association Spectacul’Art is playing this Saturday at home, in one of its favorite settings: the Grand Avignon opera house. The artistic director, Vincent Fuchs, and his team, spread under the spotlight with “Dans le choir de Johnny”, a show dedicated to the “Taulier” who died in 2017. A show of more than two hours which will see 200 choristers seize the stage, and, as usual, a guest star join them for several Johnny Hallyday songs: Chimène Badi.
At 39, the interpreter of the tube Between us (whose album sold nearly 500,000 copies twenty years ago) was not invited by chance. In 2003, Chimène Badi sang a duet with Johnny I promise you during his stadium tour. For the record, it was Laetitia Hallyday, viewer of the M6 program “Pop stars”, where Chimène Badi stood out, who then advised her husband to communicate with her. “Johnny never cheats. Offstage, I have the chance to see him as he really is: more shy, more reserved” she once recounted. “This tour is also an electric shock. Thanks to him, I learned all the tricks of the trade in an accelerated way. Thanks to him, I was no longer afraid to go on stage. I can say thank you to him for everything he brought me“. She does not trifle with tributes to the Chimene!
Saturday at 3 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the Opéra Grand Avignon; seats from 11 to 39 €
