Main route: Timetable changes on several weekends in November
DB uses weekends to expand the infrastructure • Work for the Sendlinger Spange and electronic signal box, among other things
Passengers on the Munich S-Bahn must be prepared for restrictions in S-Bahn traffic on November weekends:
- Friday, November 4 (10:30 p.m.) to Monday, November 7 (4:40 a.m.):
SEV between Laim and Pasing, fewer trips on the rest of the main route. - Friday, November 11 (11 p.m.) to Monday, November 14 (4 a.m.):
Fewer S-Bahn lines than usual run through the main route. - Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th November (each 6.00 a.m. to 5.30 p.m.)
At times no trains in the Ostbahnhof area and fewer trips through the main line.
DB uses the weekends in particular to expand the infrastructure. In the fastest trunk line area, writing is being done on auxiliary bridges for the new environmental network tube and on the Sendlinger Spange as well as on points and overhead lines for the 2nd trunk line. The construction work for the electronic interlocking at the Ostbahnhof continues at full speed. There, the DB uses a helicopter to set up new signals.
