Leeds coach Jesse Marsch courts Salzburg star Noah Okafor – football
In the current season, Noah Oka once again shows his existing potential. The Red Bull Salzburg striker has been particularly convincing on the European stage. In five games in the Champions League, the Swiss offensive player scored three strong goals – against Chelsea, AC Milan and Dinamo Zagreb.
The good performances in the premier class do not go unnoticed. A club from England are now revising their interest.
According to a report by online portal Calciomercato, Leeds United still have Okafor on their list. The “Whites” tried to get the attacker’s services last summer.
Already two ex-Salzburgers at Leeds
Jesse Marsch, who was in charge of Salzburg from 2019 to 2021, is currently on the bench at Leeds. Under the American, Okafor scored 17 points in 44 games.
The Swiss national player’s nose for goals could help the Premier League club in the fight against relegation. Leeds are currently 15th in the table, just a point from the relegation zone.
With Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson, Marsch has already piloted two former Salzburg players on Elland Road. Another reunion could possibly be added.
