In the homily, he recalled the beginning of the first Polish Dominicans – St. Jacek and Bl. Czesława. He also pointed out that the history of the times in which they lived – problems distant, problems were achieved with each other, incl. those related to spreading anthropological errors.
Referring to the history of his homily, Archbishop Marek Zacheszewski said that every person who came to Christ became salvation. He pointed out that the story of Zacchaeus came true in the life of Dominik Guzman. Use yourself before the thirst of Christ – he did it through reading the Holy Scriptures, contemplating Christ crucified and praying. Metropolitan acting on the preaching activities of St. Dominic, in whose time the Church struggled with the Albigenses and Waldenses heresies. – Dominik looked at them as lost people. Not as those who have to be converted by sword, weapon or violence. He went to them with the words of the truth – said Archbishop Jędraszewski, noting that this style of evangelization began to attract others, they gathered around Dominika. This is how the Order of Preachers was born.
Archbishop to the first Polish Dominicans – St. Jacek and Bl. Czesław, whom Dominik performed the order and at the base of the custom, the monastery at St. Sabina on Aventine. It happened at the request of the Bishop of Krakow, Iwon Odrowąż, who learned about the founder of the order, and in 1222 the first Polish Dominicans at Wawel. A few months later, he handed over the former Holy Trinity Church – the present-day basilica and monastery at Stolarska in Krakow are on the site.
From Krakow, the monks went to Prague, Wrocław, Kamień Pomorski, Gdańsk and Sandomierz, Chełm, Płock, Elbląg, Toruń, Riga, Królewiec, and later also to Kiev, where they founded more monasteries. – This community was growing Dominika Dominika, authorship to proclaim the Gospel to people who were still about Christ, by not captivating them with Christ, by their authorship to change the transformation of hearts and minds that now happened to Zacchaeus – said Archbishop Jędraszewski.
When St. Jacek, there were nearly 30 Dominican monasteries in this part of Europe, and the number of monks was estimated at 300-400. – This is something good that has been going on for 800 years here. Something unique to vote for who said they spoke about those who appointed the gospel.
He also pointed out that this story is distant, the point is that it is about the similarity of problems – incl. Contemporary errors and tropological or violence against sacred signs. – It is necessary with this power, with this situation that wants to behave and behave and say that it can become who it is, at all, what you want to win, if it happened that the Metropolitan of Krakow occurred, also pointing to you have to complement God, the Church and you have to. – Learn in love. To teach love based on the truth of Christ – added the metropolitan.
He wished the Dominicans that everyone would always and everywhere be surrounded with gratitude and that the words of St. Paul: “That the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in building up.”
