Nordic Combined youngsters: Despite the disappointment at the Olympics, clear sporting announcements
The Nordic combined athletes don’t have to dare to jump from the Bergisel ski jump. However, the Sky Restaurant on Berg Isel is a suitable setting for the performance of the four young talents. Stutzig & Hacker, longtime sponsors of young athletes, invited to a preview of the new season. The sporting announcements of the junior guard are clear and distinct.
INNSBRUCK. Lisa Hirner, Jannik Morin, Stefan Peer and Matthias Wieser are young, Nordic combined athletes, strong talents and are supported by Stutzig & Hacker. The family-run house care Stutzig and Hacker is one of the top 5 house care companies in Austria and has a young managing director in Melanie Hacker-Halmetschlager. In 2020, the company ventured into the “wild west” and has a top employee on site in Gernot Spuller.
When it comes to marketing, the company focuses on culture and sport, and in particular on the promotion of young athletes in Nordic combined. A matter of the heart for Thomas Hacker: “We are not a major sponsor, but we believe that our support for the young athletes is a motivational boost. That’s why we do it with pleasure and with full conviction.” The young athletes can only confirm these statements.
Clear announcement
Company founder Edwin Stutzig, City Councilor for Economic Affairs Christine Oppitz-Plörer, GR Markus Stoll and top athletes such as Angelika Neuner, Pascal Grünwald and Thomas Pichlmann follow the statements of the young athletes attentively. The youngsters not only show a lot of agreement in the sporting love of Nordic combined. Vocational training is of great importance to all four, and they are particularly happy about the opportunities offered in connection with work, school and sport in Stams and in the Nordic training center in Eisenerz. The talents start the coming season with self-confidence.
The cancellation of the Nordic Combined women’s competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics is for Lisa Brainer a disappointment, of course, but she responds with an appropriate declaration of war: “Then we will prove the quality of our sport and make the IOC think.”
You yourself will be “among the front” this season. The Executive of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) decided not to allow the combination of ski jumping and cross-country skiing for women to the 2026 Winter Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, despite efforts to achieve gender equality. For inclusion in the 2030 program, one wants to see a “German development”. There is clear support from the boys for Lisa’s announcement and the goals of the talents are also clearly defined in the sporting expectations.
Melanie Hacker-Halmetschlager is happy about the close cooperation and the friendly contact with the athletes. “Young people face a lot of challenges in professional life and in sport. We have a lot of common experience here and can benefit from it.” StR Christine Oppitz-Plörer is happy about the “young” podium and congratulates Melanie Hacker-Halmetschlager, Lisa Hirner, Jannik Morin, Stefan Peer and Matthias Wieser and wishes them all the best. The event on Berg Isel for Stutzig & Hacker definitely gave the youngsters a boost of motivation.
