One of Norway’s largest IT projects, the Helseplattformen computer system, is scheduled to be put into use at St. Olav’s hospital in Trondheim on 12 November. Already in July, department head Åsmund Straum notified of his concern that the system affects patients.
– If you press the wrong button, the system does not have a back button. Then you have to start over. It takes time, then we will get less done than today, and it may slip.
