Comments on the San Marino Academy youth competitions
FEMALE SECTOR
Second consecutive success for the girls of the women’s Primavera, host in the match of the 4th day against Sassuolo. The young Titans win 1-0 against their black-green peers: just like the Sunday before in Naples, Swami Giuliani is the match-winner. The 10 biancoazzurra – on the third goal in two games – invents a right-footed from distance in the 69th minute that doesn’t give the Emilian goalkeeper a chance, and that gives the San Marino Academy the climb to fifth position on equal points with Parma, removed from the leaders Rome. The success of the Under 15s in the home match against Real Sala Bolognese was not limited but even torrential. The girls from Piva had to redeem the empty pass at Cesena, and they do it finely: 15-0 to Faetano, Conenzi Terautrice of a poker, Benedettini of a hat-trick, Paone, Toraldo and Yazici of a brace; finally there are the single markings by Carli and Tamagnini to complete the very round score of the hosts. The Debutants also smile, celebrating their first success in the league by regulating the Corpolò 4-2 overall. Zaghini’s girls very well in the small sided games test; then “titanic” victories arrive also in the first two fractions of the game, with Lozzi and Manzaroli signing the two 1-0; same result, but of opposite sign, in the third and last fraction. In the San Marino Under 12 Championship, the Titanas move the ranking thanks to the point obtained with the 0-0 in the third portion of the game. In the others, Cosmos prevails: the first set 2-0, the second 5-0.
YOUTH SECTOR
National Championships
The Primavera 4 boys also move their rankings by taking the first point at Pontedera. The boys from Cancelli won the challenge at 36 ‘with Valli Casadei; the Tuscan draw arrives at the opening of the second half with Campitello. The other equal of the teams involved in the national championship is that of the Under 16. Also in Dogana it ends 1-1: Academy advantage with Protti, Aquila Montevarchi draw – almost immediately – with Luzzi. There are no points, however, from the two comparisons of the Under 15s and the Under 17s with Vis Pesaro. The former lose 2-0 to Acquaviva, built by the Marche with the goals of Antonelli in the 20 ‘and of Mariani in the 50’. The blue-white draw had arrived, however, in the Under 17 match: Muratori had gone to the Pesaro advantage signed by Innocenti, but in the final forward part of the race Clementi brings back the Vis, and this time in a definitive way.
Provincial and regional championships
Clear victory of Baschetti’s Under 15s in their visit to the Young Santarcangelo. It ends 7-1 for the Titans, who collect De Santis’s goal, but a widely acquired success. At that height of the race, Giordani, Baldazzi and Guerra had already scored three times; then, after Young’s goal, Franca and Biordi think about putting more luminous white seals on Domenicaazzurra. Not so good for the three Under 14 teams. The Professionals collect a large 5-0 at Cesena, while the Under 14 to nine must even surrender 8-0 at the home of another Cesena team, Nuova Virtus Cesena, who scores Sintucci (double), Iazzetta (double), Ceccarelli (double) and Picone. The gap is less wide in the case of the Under 14 “A”, defeated at home 2-0 by the Riminicalcio Academy: Fabbri decides with a brace in Domagnano. The regional Under 19s are also involved at home, forced to yield 3-2 to Polisportiva Stella. The guests first took off with a double from Montanari, interspersed with Pompili’s goal. Then Venerucci’s boys find a good reaction, which leads them to get very close to their opponents thanks to the centers of Gualtieri and Gessi, without finding that further inspiration that could bring them a friendly result. The result of the confrontation with River Delfini is certainly not a friend of the Under 17s: the Rimini players win big in Montecchio thanks to the triplets of Zaghini and Gioni, in addition to the single scoring of Drudi and Mondaini. A daring to the Titans the provisional draw was Baldani. In the end it is 8-1. Finally there are three 4-0 defeats in the Under 13 category. The Professionals yield with this score at Sassuolo, who after winning the test of the small sided games, beats the young Titans 2-0 in the first part of the game, 6 -1 in the second and 3-1 in the third. At the Academy, the goal is first Nicolini and then Tesei. The Provincial Beginners “A” do not find points in the home of the Riminicalcio Academy, which imposes itself in all four game fractions, without conceding any goal to the white ospitiazzurri. Identity result also in the case of the home match of the Beginners “B” with Morciano, master of all phases of the game and able to keep even his own goal clean.
FUTSAL SECTOR
Too much Olimpia Regium for the Under 19s in the first home match of the year. The Emilians take off on the Acquaviva parquet already in the first half, closed on a partial 4-0 thanks to the brace of Vissoto and the high notes of Franco and Santoriello. The second half also opens in the sign of Olimpia, with Santoriello widening the gap and joining Vissoto in the group of doublets of the day. The San Marino Academy responds with a goal from Ercolani, which is not followed, however, by a comeback; indeed, it is Olimpia that rounds up with two more goals, the first from Lafif, the second from Franco. On the same field, in the afternoon, a good performance by the girls of the First Team against GS Pero. Twice the Lombards take the lead, twice the Academy responds. Gulli opens the scoring on 11 ‘, with Taioli quick to respond. In the fraction, the unfortunate own goal from Villagra brings Pero back ahead, but he has to reckon with Taioli, scoring – for the third time in the league – at the dawn of the second half. The challenge will remain on and open to any result, with great saves by the two goalkeepers – at Academy Pepe played – and a wood to stop the Pero. In the end it is 2-2, a result that gives the Titans the first point of the season.
