40 percent of Istanbul is in advanced treatment
the previous day, Istanbul The start-up facility was opened in Tuzla. This national we heard with a political debate. At the opening, Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı would be in his speech and there was even a brawl. Aside from this political goal, I did a little with this facility, got information, talked to İSKİ General Manager Şafak Başa. Because, whatever environmental problem comes up about Istanbul, it comes to people going forward from the way of business. It is a journey from the sea that surpasses the moribund sea of Marmara, only a few live uses, and mucilage. In a megacity of 16 million people like Istanbul, it may still not be able to complete the prospective treatment in 2022. So, what is the latest situation of Megakent in terms of receiving wastewater? Which school is the rate of water treated with advanced school treatment? Are there any points that are direct to the sea without being treated? I asked Şafak Başa, the general manager of İSKİ, who is the primary interlocutor at this school. İSKİ General Manager explained with up-to-date information throughout Istanbul:
ONLY 40 PERCENT ADVANCED TREATMENT
* Waste water from Istanbul is collected through a 201 km wastewater tunnel, 1.212 km wastewater collector and 16,960 km wastewater network and delivered to the wastewater treatment plant.
* 2022 first treatments 90 wastewater purifiers 1 billion 130 million m3 of wastewater was treated. 12 of these facilities in the İSKİ facility are university education, 70 universities and 8 preliminary wastewater facilities.
* It will serve Tuzla, Pendik, Kartal and Maltepe districts, which was built on 25.10.2022.

IS THERE A DIRECT DISCHARGE TO THE SEA?
Şafak Başa, General Manager of İSKİ, is already front-facing in Megakent. Başa said that besides a few small, local spots, this vaccine has been exceeded and that, together with Tuzla Advanced Biological Treatment Plant, almost all of the Anatolian Side will pass through the future. However, it is not possible to say this for the European side. With the facility that has already been adopted in Tuzla, the amount of water grown in the city from education has been conveyed to approximately 40 percent.
20 FACILITIES IN 30 YEARS
General Manager Başa said, “İSKİ designed and commissioned the wastewater treatment plant, which is directly treated in Marmara, as a death water plant from the preparation stage. Currently, wastewater tunnels are being built in the east and west of Küçükçekmece lake for the wastewater coming to Küçükçekmece Treatment Plant as pre-treatment, for Ambarlı and Ataköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plants. With this completed in 2023-2024, almost all of the wastewater obtained from Marmara Treatment will be taken from the candidate by wastewater application. It may also be related to the Ambarlı and Ataköy Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment plants, which have wastewater treated by the stream to the Marmara Sea, and to the deep.
As the administration, our biggest goal is to provide treatment from water inlet to the Sea of Marmara, to water intake and/i from land to sea, and to switch from sea to water 100 times. To continue 2053 is enough and comprehensive water to be targeted, and to continue, “Intra-Istanbul and Sewerage Master Plan” studies are being carried out. The finished water treatment plant for Istanbul’s wastewater management, estimated and planned for the population, and the number of finished products to be built for 30 years is already planned.
