“Locating the deal points, harassing the sellers of death who build hills of crack on the corpses of their victims, is to prevent the rule of the law of the strongest and not the law of the Republic”, had to elsewhere informed the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, on August 24, assuring that no less than “2,778 traffics had been dismantled in less than a year in the agglomeration”.
And crack, traffic in which has always existed in Paris but has become more democratic in recent years, in particular because of its low cost, remains the main target to shoot down for POPs, while its consumption also wreaks havoc among drug addicts. “Crack remains the biggest subject in Paris,” added Gérald Darmanin, promising to “hit a lot harder”. “Crack doesn’t need to be reduced, but annihilated,” he said.
