FC Red Bull Salzburg: “Power-Pavlovic” legitimate “mentality monster” successor to Kristensen – [Video] – Bundesliga
He was the most conspicuous player at the 13th round summit of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga between leaders FC Red Bull Salzburg and the second SK Sturm Graz (0:0) last Saturday: Strahinja Pavlovic. Also tragic figure! Of the various scenes, the legitimate successor to the “mentality monster” Rasmus Kristensen (since the summer in the Premier League at Leeds United and ex-Salzburg coach Jesse Marsch) will remember one in particular: the sensational rescue act – see Video – after a corner kick beforehand on the other side of the game and a sprint across the field.
Also goes where it hurts: Fighter heart Strahinja Pavlović – a guy! Here in a duel with ADMIRAL Bundesliga top scorer Marin Ljubičić from LASK.
Strahinja Pavlović seems to have arrived in Salzburg after years of wandering
There have been so many high-flyers at FC Red Bull Salzburg. To name them all would fill several pages. Strahinja Pavlović should be mentioned here as an example. The 21-year-old Serb came to the Mozart city in the summer from the French club AS Monaco, after the central defender had been loaned out to FC Basel, Cercle Brugge and Partizan Belgrade in the meantime.
At the beginning of the season, Oumar Solet & Maximilian Wöber seemed to be set for the Austrian series champions, the 21-time Serbian national player had to “queue” and then take his chance. With a cold start! Maximilian Wöber injured his groin while warming up in the opening game of Salzburg in the Champions League against AC Milan on… .
And the No. 31 from the Bulls stable passed the “baptism of fire” against the 36-year-old Milan center forward and French world champion Olivier Giroud… yes, it even gave the impression that Strahinja Pavlović (contract until June 2027 with FC Red Bull Salzburg ) has already played umpteen premier league games. Since then, the left-footed player has been an integral part of the Salzburg starting XI in the Champions League and enjoys the full confidence of the young coach Jaissle.

First rescue, then yellow-red from “Power Pavlović”
In Saturday’s game against runners-up SK Sturm Graz, Strahinja Pavlović was not only omnipresent, but also a “tragic figure”. Salzburg went 1-0 up with a header for the first time, then returned at high speed when Graz counterattacked and saved William Bøving, who was already in front of the empty host goal.
However, it was bitter that the Salzburg central defender received a yellow card in the closing stages because of an “alleged swallow” and was therefore given a traffic light card, which meant he was suspended in the next league game (Saturday, 5 p.m., in the Red Bull Arena against bottom team TSV Hartberg).
For tomorrow’s Champions League game – from 6:45 p.m I am League portal LIVETICKER – Strahinja Pavlović is ready though…
