Marseille: a woman raped in the middle of the street, an Algerian targeted by an OQTF arrested at the time of the events
An Algerian subject to an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF) was arrested on the night of Friday to Saturday in Marseille, while he was trying to rape a woman in the middle of the street.
The Marseille anti-crime brigade intervened on the night of Friday to Saturday for a violation in the middle of the street. Arrived at the time of the facts, the agents arrested an Algerian, covered by an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF).
The arrest took place around 2 a.m. when officers saw two figures wrestling on the ground, a police source told CNEWS. As they approached, the police heard a woman’s voice shouting to them: “Help, help me, he is raping me, I am going to die”.
The three officials then got out of their car in an emergency, to discover the half-naked woman on the ground, struggling, while a man sexually abused her. The agents of the BAC then warned about the alleged rapist in order to arrest him.
To the file of persons wanted for an OQTF
To the police, the alleged victim told that four men in a vehicle would have dragged her away earlier in the evening and would have offered to go to a housing estate to buy some drogue. She then got into the car, but wanted to get out after realizing that they were not going to the announced destination.
The four men reportedly refused to let her go, forcing her to scream and fuss to interrupt the ride. One of the four men then went down with her to try to rape her behind a truck. He would have said to her “let yourself be raped or I will kill you” (sic), before striking. The suspected rapist would have penetrated him digitally, but could not have gone through with his act, due to the arrival of the Bac agents.
The alleged perpetrator is a man of Algerian nationality, homeless, registered in the file of persons wanted for an OQTF, with a ban on returning to France, informed CNEWS. Subjected to various tests by the police, he tested positive for drugs and alcohol.
