San Marino. Energy, We San Marino: “Using the badlands to install photovoltaic panels”
The San Marino political force intervenes on the issue of energy.
“We Sammarinesi have long addressed the issue of alternative energies by making proposals regarding energy saving and the search for renewable sources, but today the debate in the country is much more heated in consideration of the economic risks and the possibility of having guaranteed supply not for our inability but for extraterritorial reasons.
The competent Secretariats are evaluating every single element useful for overcoming the delicate phase, but perhaps it is necessary to have a different approach on the territory, first of all evaluating our territory to draw adequate conclusions “.
NS believes “the development of all renewable sources is fundamental as a true investment of the country for a future of energy independence to safeguard the internal economy. If we talk about photovoltaic panels we know that 12 panels arranged at about 3 kW occupying a space of 12sqm. Our territory cannot be fully covered, so we will have to use all possible spaces such as the roofs of public buildings, the roofs of industrial and commercial buildings could be contracted for 25 years but also use those badlands that have been reclaimed at the expense of the state and that structures with innocent pipes or spiral poles would be able to bear the little weight represented by the panels without interfering with the gully itself.
These policies can be implemented immediately and resolving the electricity problem, especially as regards the energy consumption of public goods.
For the other alternative sources it will be necessary to investigate each sector, for example being a mountainous area it could be possible to install wind turbines in different areas (especially near the antennas) to be able to use the wind as well as resources to carry out a large-scale study for the use of the updrafts that lap the walls of our Monte Titano. The exploitation of thegeothermal energy for which immediate research is needed in the country to define the places of greatest interest that can generate true energy independence “.
And again: “To help encourage the formation of consortia aimed at transformation into biogas of all waste from agricultural processing and no less important is the water recovery to be made with more barriers in the various areas at the end of the slope. In addressing these issues, We will be at the side to involve everyone as much as possible in the real transformation of the country ”.
