East Tyrolean swimmers convinced in Salzburg
Anna Nemmert took silver. Some young swimmers get a taste of competition air for the first time.
Last weekend, the 38th International Swimming Meeting of the Swimming Union Generali Salzburg took place in the Salzburg University and State Sports Center.
26 clubs from different countries compete with around 290 swimmers to take part in the competition. Six representatives of the East Tyrolean young swimmers also faced the strong competition and surpassed their personal best times in the competition.
Anna Nemmert won the silver medal in the butterfly discipline over 50 meters and surpassed her personal best by five seconds. She missed a second silver medal by just 1.5 seconds in butterfly style over 100 meters. This put her in fourth place. Despite this, she improved her personal record by 13 seconds.
For the brothers Jonas and Lorenz Gomille, the swimming meeting was the first big competition, they shined with fifth and sixth places.
Coach Pepi Mair is very satisfied with the good results and the improved personal best times of his swimmers and is looking forward to the next competitions.
