SK Puntigamer Sturm Graz meets leaders Red Bull Salzburg in the 13th round of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga. the game in Wals-Siezenheim will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022.
Head coach Christian Ilzer ahead of the duel with Red Bull Salzburg: “An absolutely top duel against the league kings Salzburg is waiting for us. With consistently strong performances in the Bundesliga and impressive performances in the Champions League, they show that they are the measure of all things in Austria. We want to deliver an intense battle to the Salzburgers in their stadium and trust ourselves to be able to survive there with the way we play football. If we manage to use our potential in all areas, we’ll be extremely difficult opponents for any team.”
Ilzer on the personnel situation: “I would be lying if I said that everything passed us by without a trace. Of course, the stress of the last few weeks is adding up – but I also know that our boys are in top shape, we have a highly committed and motivated medical team, my coaching team controls the stress perfectly and I am convinced that a body can do anything , if you have the strength to convince your mind of it. With this in mind: everything fit and ready for the top game!”
Midfielder Alexander Prass is looking forward to the duel with the league leaders: “Of course it’s a top game – even if you look at the league table – but we as a team don’t look at the league table. We just want to win every game, no matter who we’re facing. Of course we are aware that we are not the favorites this time. But we’ve already won Salzburg at home this season, and that’s exactly what we’re going to try to do again away from home!” ¬
