The agreement between the Health Secretariat, Iss and Assovolontari blood and organs of San Marino has been renewed
The renewal of the agreement between the Secretariat of State for Health, the Institute for Social Security and the San Marino Voluntary Association of Blood and Organs was signed this morning.
L’understandingreads in the joint note of Iss and the Health Secretariat, has as its object the close relationship of collaboration in collaboration management of blood donations by San Marino volunteers.
The agreement also includes the commitment to logistically adapt health services in favor of donors to the standards and protocols of stability from the paths of institutional accreditation and international organizations.
Roberto Ciavatta (Secretary of State for Health): “I want to thank the Association for their precious and fundamental contribution. As confirmed at the time of signing, the agreement on blood and blood products is part of the action plan between Italy and San Marino and we are working so that it can bring results in a short time ”.
Maria Katia Savoretti (president Association of San Marino volunteers with blood and organs): “The Association has been active since 1960 and today has over 4 thousand members, of which 1,300 represent active donors. A large number that can also count on the enrollment of many young people. The hope is to arrive soon at the signing of agreements with Italy to allow the blood of the donors of San Marino to be used also across the border, especially in times of particular need “.
Francesco Bevere (Director General of the Institute for Social Security): “I too thank the association of blood and organ donors for their constant activity. Donating blood is a very strong and heartfelt gesture of generosity, especially for those who receive it, because blood on many occasions can save a person’s life ”.
