More than 260 occurrences recorded today in mainland Portugal due to rain and wind – Portugal
More than 260 occurrences, mostly floods and tree falls, were recorded during the present day on the Portuguese mainland due to rain and the district, mainly affecting the districts of Aveiro, Braga, Porto, Viseu and Lisbon.
According to a source from the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), after a “calm night”, between 8:00 and 20:00 there were 262 occurrences, mainly “trees falling, flooding and cleaning of roads due to ” to floods with greater visibility than five districts, with no casualties or much damage.
Also the Lisbon Fire Brigade, responsible for the rescue in the city, did not register any relevant occurrences, responding mainly to “small floods”, indicated the regiment source shortly after 20:00, without having an account of the incidents.
Since the beginning of the current period of weather warnings related to rain, at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, ANEPC recorded, until 8:00 pm today, 658 occurrences in mainland territory.
