Vodafone premieres documentary miniseries and videocast to mark 30 years in Portugal – Meios & Publicidade
30 Anos Vodafone is a five-episode documentary miniseries that premieres this Tuesday on SIC, on the occasion of the operator’s anniversary in Portugal. The documentary portrays Portugal from the time when Telecel was born, and shows how the country’s history intersects with that of Vodafone.
The content will be delivered in full each month, on the first two Vodafone channels and in the first six minutes also on television, on the S0 IC anniversary, a co-product of the channel this is its 3rd anniversary. In production, the moments and changes of the last 3 years had the main impact of the mobile network service, moments and changes of the last 3 years, looking ahead to what is to come.
In addition to the documentary, the brand also marks the date with a special episode of the Moving Fast videocast, made in partnership with Observador Lab, which will bring together, for the first time, the founder and first CEO, António Carrapatoso, António Coimbra, currently chairman of Vodafone. Vodafone’s history in Portugal begins on October 18, 1992, the year in which Telecel opened its doors to the public. IN 220, the brand was acquired by the Vodafone group, introducing itself to the market as Telecel Vodafone in January 2021. In October of the same year, from now on it would definitively assume the name Vodafone, dropping the Telecel brand.
