A double, and an assist
Since leaving Bordeaux, the 33-year-old winger has tried the English adventure, without success. Then adventures in Russia, Bulgaria and Turkey, without really convincing. But since he is in the United States, Gabriel Obertan lives again.
Indeed, his club faced North Carolina FC in USL League One. If the victory was acquired with the score of 5-1, Gabriel Obertant was the great architect of this success with two goals and an assist. He is also elected player of the week of the championship. Charlotte Independence, 6th, will compete in the Play-Offs.
His Bordeaux epic
Arriving from Clairefontaine during the 2005-2006 season, we could see the aura of a future great player, both his qualities were promising. But despite Laurent Blanc’s insistence on having him evaluated at his best level, his qualities will remain in the box of promises. After a loan to Lorient, he left for Manchester United for almost €4 million, without much success.
In Bordeaux, he scored 6 goals in 80 games and won the Champions Trophy and the 2009 championship. His only professional trophies.
