Prices remain the same: Salzburg public transport tariffs will be frozen for 2023
The tariffs of the Salzburger Verkehrsverbund will not be increased in 2023. The state of Salzburg, Salzburg Verkehr and the transport companies joined forces. Freezing prices will relieve customers in times of extreme inflation.
SALZBURG. Despite the challenging situation, the prices for Salzburg’s public transport will not be adjusted as usual in January. This means that the prices for the Salzburg climate tickets, all route tickets, the myRegio tickets, single tickets and student tickets remain stable. However, the whole thing should not apply to ÖBB tickets.

The public transport tickets in the state of Salzburg will not be more expensive in the coming year. The state of Salzburg, the Salzburg transport association and the transport companies have joined forces. This is how you want to relieve the people of Salzburg in times of high inflation. The current price increase, above all the high fuel prices, is already a burden enough. The current situation poses fiscal challenges, especially for commuters.

This means that the tariffs for regular route tickets and single tickets as well as the Salzburg climate tickets (Classic, U26, Spezial and Edelweiß) and the myRegio weekly and monthly tickets will remain the same in the coming year. Furthermore, the student cards – s’COOL-CARD and SUPER s’COOL CARD – will not be increased
The tariff suspension for ÖBB trains should not apply. This already announced in December that it would increase prices by around four percent due to the current high energy costs.
