Inaugurated on Saturday October 8, 2022, next to the Yannick Noah sports complex, in Louvignynear Caen (Calvados), the multisports stadium, also called city-stadiumis a place where you can play football, basketball, handball or volleyball without moderation.
It is accessible to everyone, at any age and without a license.
Savings of €40,000
Long awaited, he meets a great success since its installation in the spring of 2022. Above all, it has the particularity of being resulting from reuse. “At first, we had new equipment with the help of a Plan de Relance subsidy,” explained Mayor Patrick Ledoux during the inauguration.
Due to a lack of subsidy, we bought this equipment from the municipality of Soliers, which wanted to renew and refocus its sports facilities.
Three elected officials from Louvigny, a municipal agent, some young people from the association of friends of Jean Bosco and their educators took care of the dismantling and transport.
Another project in sight
The structure was reassembled by the specialized company Boisgontier and approved by the technical inspection office Veritas. Thus, the municipality, in consultation with the Municipal Council for Children and Young People, gave a second life to this playground for a total amount of €14,000, “a saving of at least €40,000 compared to the cost of a new city stadium”.
A sum that could be used for, for example, a shared pump track “with our neighbors of Eterville and Bretteville-sur-Odon”, see the mayor of Louvigny.
