Mother Shows How Impossible It Is To Navigate The Floors Of Malta With A Pushchair
A mother showed how nearly impossible it is to navigate the pavements of Malta with a pushchair and two small children.
In a video sent to Lovin Malta, the mother is seen struggling to keep moving on the pavement in Qawra, due to the large amount of rubbish bags that are taking up most of the already small space .
“Someone explain to me, how a mother with two children and a pushchair can walk on the sidewalk in this country. Someone explain to me,” she says.
She is seen trying to keep walking on the sidewalk, almost hitting cars and dragging trash bags with a pushchair.
“Or do I need to pack all the bags somewhere? i don’t know Or do I need to go down the road and be careful not to hit a car?” she asks.
In another shot, she shows how little space is left on the pavement, with most of the space taken up by recycling bags.
“This is how small the sidewalk is, and look at it,” she says, zooming towards the end of the street and showing even more bags, “look at it! Amazing and very clever garbage system.”
“Welcome to Europe,” she concludes.
This is far from the first time that issues relating to Malta’s pavements have been raised, with accessibility issues often highlighted.
Do you think that Malta needs a better garbage system?
