Changes in the functioning of the Security Council of the Slovak Republic
Supporting the activities of the Office of the Security Council (BR) of the Slovak Republic could contribute to increasing the state’s resistance to threats. The director of the office could be given broader competences, the work of the committees should also be improved.
This follows from the proposal of the Concept of the Security System of the Slovak Republic, which the Ministry of the Interior (MOI) of the Slovak Republic submitted to the interdepartmental comment procedure. The goals of the concept are based on streamlining the security system without creating new institutions.
“BR SR will approve state resilience plans for individual security threats as part of security system measures, which also include common typical response plans for individual security threats,” approximates the proposal of the submitter.
The concept also envisages the strengthening of individual executive units in terms of personnel, material, professional and financial mechanisms for the efficient use of budget funds.
According to the concept, the current functioning of the security system is a sufficient situation for a complicated security evaluation and subsequent implementation.
