San Marino. Sportello Consumatori Association: “Reduction of the Smac discount on petrol, a decision completely out of context”
The Association intervenes on the point approved by the Health Commission.
The Sportello Consumatori Association intends to clarify its position in relation to article 27 of the draft law for the reform of the social security system, “Temporary contribution to the Pension Fund”, approved by the Health Commission together with the entire legislative text, which will be launched at the second council reading.
This article reduces the Smac discounts from 15 to 10 cents a liter of petrol. The 5 cents difference in full will go to the Employee Pensions Fuel Fund.
The Consumer Desk – confirming in full written what the CSU in the position on the PdL for the pension reform of the positions sent to the Government and to the Directors – therefore reiterates that consumers are not allowed to be called upon to contribute to the balance of the Pension Fund in the absence of a adequate and broader commitment by the state.
As specified by the same CSU, there is a willingness to evaluate any measure aimed at financing the pension fund, but exclusively in the context of an agreement that establishes the necessary interventions from the State Budget to fill the annual deficits.
In essence, the decision to reduce the Smac discounts on fuels is a unilateral and out of context choice.
