“Apprentice of the month October 2022” is Elena Gremer
Elena Gremer is a volunteer and enthusiastic sportswoman.
With Elena Gremer from Rum, the first apprentice from the last quarter of this year will be awarded: She received the award for “Apprentice of the Month October 2022” at a celebration in the company of the Education and Labor Councilor Beate Palfrader presented. Gremer completed an apprenticeship as an office clerk in the second year of training at Innsbruck’s municipal services Inc in Innsbruck.
“Elena Gremer lives up to the motto ‘Career with Apprenticeship’. You completed your apprenticeship with a high school diploma at the Vocational Training Institute in Innsbruck and have already attended numerous company courses and further training courses. With this versatile basis, all paths are open to her for her professional future,” emphasizes LRin Palfrader. “Because Tyrol’s labor market urgently needs well-trained specialists in order to continue to be at the forefront as an attractive business and research location. With this award, we want to show our appreciation to the apprentices and focus on their achievements for our state of Tyrol and society. We want to use this to motivate even more young people to take part in our specialist offensive.”
The state of Tyrol also recently increased the training allowance for apprentices from 100 to 200 euros per month. And apprentices receive up to three times 500 euros a year for taking part in courses that teach or consolidate the content of the job profile or vocational school as well as cross-job profile professional skills – for example in the areas of digitization. All “very good” in the certificate
Elena successfully completed the first specialist class at the Tyrolean vocational school for trade and office in Innsbruck and received all “very good” in the certificate. She was particularly praised by the company for her collegiality and punctuality.
She is a member of the rural youth and the traditional costume association “D’Nordkettler Rum”, the gymnastics association (tennis section) and the Eisenbahner Sportverein Innsbruck, where she also works as an official: “Nowadays it is not easy to recruit young people from outside for a club function inspire. In my opinion, the best thing to do is to tell others what you can do in a club so that the young people can get an idea.”
Elena was also involved in collecting donations for a Caritas social market and in the May collection of the federal music band Rum. Her hobbies include hiking, skiing, tennis, baking, cooking, reading and travelling.
How do you become “Apprentice of the Month”?
“The state of Tyrol needs excellent specialists. Today’s apprentices are tomorrow’s specialists LRin Beate Palfrader and explains: “The ‘Apprentice of the Month’ award is given for special achievements at work and at vocational school as well as special social commitment.” A jury made up of representatives from the state of Tyrol, the Tyrolean Chamber of Commerce, the Tyrolean Chamber of Labor and the vocational schools. The “Apprentice of the Year” is chosen from among the twelve apprentices of the month at a gala night the following year.
