2022-23 season presented • newsrimini.it
On the eve of the debut female trainingand before the eve of that of Under 19the sector futsal of the San Marino Academy presented at the press conference news, objectives and projects for the season 2022-23.
The latter, at the level of official activity, is practically at the gates. The girls of the A2 Series will be in the field tomorrow (Saturday) evening on the field of Mediterraneanwhile I boys ofRegional Under 19 have their “first” Sunday morning at the home of City of the Rubicon.
And taking advantage of the occasion of this press conference, the President First Touch them wanted to give the two teams his good luck, underlining how this sector continues to show “Excellent prospects. The boys and girls and is still passionate about this sport is that it gives us great confidence also for the future. It is a sector in full evolution and my hope is that this trend will continue for a long time and give us ever increasing satisfaction in the years to come. On our part, there is an efficient organizational machine committed to this. “
Machine that continues to include among its gears Angelo Novelli And Matteo Selva, two figures who, despite their young age, can be fully considered as veterans of the world of controlled young age. For both, who have already been members of the white-blue futsal sector for some time, the 2022-23 season means a doubling of responsibility: managerial in the case of Novelli, technical in that of Selva.
“I find the male field after a couple of years of exclusively female activity and I am happy to start this new adventure with our youth training – lets know Novelli -. I strongly believe in the futsal movement as a whole, I am passionate about all levels, and therefore I believe there are few more fulfilling roles than this; a role, that is, that allows me to closely follow the developments of both a youth team and a women’s First Team. As for the girls, we are preparing for this second adventure in Serie A2 and the primary objective remains to fight to maintain the category. To do this, we decided to focus again on the hard core that has given us great satisfaction in recent years, adding some targeted and quality grafts. “
Matteo Selva instead he will be the Head of the Technical Area of the two formations: “It is really a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to fill this new position after spending the last few years with the Under 19 and Under 21 players. to find the team, which I had coached a few years ago, when Covid forced us to team up ahead of time. Since then it was as if a piece were missing from my sporting story, and I am happy to be able to close the circle. With the boys, my goal continues to be to instill in them the experience that I have been able to accrue over the years, in order to help them in their growth. Clearly the double role will not allow me to always be present with both teams. Not physical, at least. For this reason, the contribution of a team of extremely prepared collaborators like the one that has been made available to these two teams will be fundamental.
Speaking of Under 19, there is a spontaneous mention of the next European category, rather close in time: as in the past, the National team will also draw on the group of San Marino players that make up the San Marino Academy squad. “In this sense it will be important for all of us to roll up our sleeves – the thought of Selva -. Many of our kids need to become more familiar with this sport, and the time available is short. We are working hard on this. The European qualifications will be an important appointment and we all know that in the international field it is necessary to be ready immediately. “
