Ukraine wants to take the EU to Belarus and “visa ban” for all Russians
The next ninth package involved in the Union against Russia entry from the inclusion of other banks from SWIFT, a ban on prices or a ban on gas exports, a ban on ships entering Russian ports and the issuance of visas to Russians. Sanctions should also be extended against Belarus.
Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Zhovkva said this on the air of the United News telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“We thanked for the eighth package, but they are already working on the ninth package, and there should have been everything that was not included in the eighth and parallel packages. All Russian and Belarusian banks, especially Gazprombank, have not yet been disconnected from SWIFT,” noted Zhovkva. .
In addition, according to his assumption, it is necessary to limit the price of Russian gas or impose a ban on its export.
Among those accepted by the deputy head of the OP, the entry of the Union of Courts into the ports of the Russian Federation was named and the issuance of all categories of visas to constitutional citizens was prohibited.
At the same time, Zhovkva clarifies that it is necessary to talk – and such talk is going on – about sanctions against Belarus. In particular, according to him, these restrictions, as against the Russian Federation, should concern the banking system.
The deputy head of the Presidential Office also reminded that personal sanctions against Belarusian officials have already been introduced, and their serious expansion has been noted.
“Belarus is also in sight – both ours and our partners from the EU,” Zhovkva added.
As President Volodymyr Zelensky said on October 11 at a meeting of the Group of Seven to symmetrical sanctions of the G7 countries against Russia in connection with its occupation by terrorist attacks against Ukraine and the establishment of severe restrictions on the distribution of oil and gas.
