Next year’s budget is non-standard and made at a time of crisis. Heger believes that Slovakia will not experience such a situation for the next 30 years
According to Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽaNO), the currently submitted draft of the future state budget is exceptional and you believe that such a budget will be in Slovakia at most once every 30 years.
Helping people
“The budget is being drawn up in an energy crisis that we haven’t had here since World War II. Slovakia has not experienced such a situation where it is. And I really wish that I would never experience such a situation for at least the next 30 years,” Heger said on Wednesday after the government meeting.
See next year’s proposal as a document to help people. According to Heger, it is not a standard budget where the political parties that make up the coalition rearrange their political priorities and then lose favor in the parliament.
Non-standard budget
“Political priorities are now completely beside the point. The biggest priority is to help people through the energy crisis,” added the prime minister.
According to Heger, the fact that roughly a fifth of the spending resources are allocated to the general treasury management account is also non-standard.
“It’s a non-standard year and I believe it won’t happen again,” said the prime minister. According to him, Slovakia is in a state of uncertainty and there are many questions. And only later, with the arrival of the answer, will they be able to react.
