UEFA Champions League: AC Milan want revenge on Chelsea
A week after their heavy 3-0 defeat against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, AC Milan welcomes the London team to the San Siro today. The Rossoneri spoke of this meeting with a spirit of revenge. The objective for the Italian club is to wash away the affront and then better reposition themselves in Group E of the UEFA Champions League.
Tonight at 19:00 GMT, AC Milan will try to do battle with Chelsea as part of the fourth day of the UEFA Champions League. The Lombard club, diminished in the first leg by numerous injuries, was able to recover Theo Hernandez. The French left side, who will be the captain of the Rossoneri, will try to bring his team to a safe harbour. The objective is to win the match, in order to forget the defeat of the last week in London. To achieve this, Stefano Pioli has several good players able to respond favorably. The Italian coach could also count on the supporters since the match is played at home.
On the side of Chelsea, the objective of the Blues is to repeat the offense against the Italians in order to take the lead in this group E. The London club therefore wants to maintain continuity and try to beat AC Milan again at home. Graham Potter, however, faces a few defections that do not help. N’golo Kanté, Jorginho and company. The club can however count on its horde of African players. Even if the Senegalese goalkeeper Edouard Mendy is not very sure to start, there is a good chance that Kalidou Koulibaly and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be aligned at the start of the meeting. Two players who were very useful in the first leg. AC Milan – Chelsea is therefore a match that should guarantee spectacle.
