Heger wants to prevent EARLY ELECTIONS with the Democrats
It is time for democratic forces to negotiate on how to prevent early elections and lead Slovakia together through the biggest energy crisis since World War II. This was announced to Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽANO) on the social network in connection with the initiative of the opposition parties to negotiate early parliamentary elections.
“It is symbolic that just today Richard Sulík (SaS) received an invitation from Robert Fico (Smer-SD) for bilateral negotiations on early elections and joint action against this government. I admit that nothing can be more repulsive for a democrat than an invitation . from this man for one table. Let today’s date be a warning to us Democrats what will happen if we fail. The price will be too high.” said the prime minister.
He reminded that this is how the government of Iveta Radičová fell eleven years ago. He talks about the memento that the democratic forces will never be “dark ages”. According to him, the hands of the justice authorities would be tied again, our geopolitical direction would be threatened and corruption would increase again.
During the day, Smer-SD leader Robert Fico appealed for an agreement between the opposition parliamentary and non-parliamentary political parties, which will lead to early elections. He wants to negotiate with the individual parties on a bilateral level, he called on them to put aside personal animosities and agree on a common course of action.
The chairman of the non-parliamentary Hlas-SD Peter Pellegrini, in turn, informed the round table of opposition parties on the floor of the parliament about a unified procedure. Both Smer-SD and Hlas-SD want to negotiate with SaS.
