Ex-Salzburg crack is in the opening squad of the Buffalo Sabers! – Hockey-News.info – All news about national and international ice hockey
Germany has another NHL player. After solid prep, 20-year-old John Jason Peterka makes the Buffalo Sabers’ opening night squad against the Ottawa Senators.
In five preseason games, Peterka had one goal and one assist while wearing the Sabers jersey and finished -1. The German, who also played in the Red Bull Academy in Salzburg in his youth, earned himself a permanent place in the Sabers roster.
He made two appearances for Buffalo last season but failed to score. In the AHL, on the other hand, he showed his class. In 70 games he scored 28 goals and prepared 40 more goals. Another twelve points in ten games followed in the playoffs.
In all probability, Peterka will appear in row three at the beginning. The center of this very young line is led by 21-year-old Dylan Cozens, with the same old Peyton Krebs attacking on the left wing. Sabers fans can look forward to a lot of talent in this series.
It starts for the Buffalo Sabers in the night from Thursday to Friday with the home game against the Ottawa Senator, two days later the difficult game against the Florida Panthers follows.
