Mobilize Duo, the new without electric license at the Mondial de Paris!
Mobilize, the division of the Renault group dedicated to electric mobility, born in January 2021, goes on the offensive at the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris. No less than five projects are presented with achievements that will arrive in the more or less short term. Let’s start with the most concrete: the Mobilize Duo which is none other than the production version of the Mobilize EZ-1 concept.
This vehicle, which stems from the experience acquired by the Renault Twizy, will be available for hire, and only for hire, from a minimum of 3 months or long term from professionals, communities and individuals alike.
Mobilize Duo, a well recycled Renault Twizy?
Using the principle of the electric quadricycle offering two seats in tandem, the Mobilize duo refined the Twizy recipe and corrected the main flaws. Thus, the doors are completely closed, the heating is optimized at the level of the steering wheel and the driver’s seat. On either side of the latter, two compartments accommodating cabin-type luggage have been arranged. The tubular chassis design makes extensive use of recycled materials, and front and rear armor are identical to save on both development and maintenance costs.
The Mobilize Duo is available in a variant (45 km/h) accessible from 14 years old and (80 km/h) which requires a B license. In both cases, autonomy is of the order of 140 km. The data sheet indicates a length of 2.43 m, a width of 1.30 and a height of 1.46 m.
Bento, the Duo in utility mode.

The latter can swallow up to 700 liters.](https://www.automobile-magazine.fr/asset/cms/800x449/205537/config/153105/le-mobilize-bento-remplace-la-place-arriere-du-duo-par-une-benne-cette-derniere-peut-engloutir-jusqua-700-litres.jpg)
To target the last mile delivery person, the Mobilize Duo is modified to transport up to 700 liters by means of a dumpster replacing the rear seat. In addition, for the carriage of long objects, a hatch on the side allows you to take advantage of the entire length of the vehicle (namely 2.43 m). The Mobilize Bento will be offered for rental, only to professionals, in 2024.

Renault embarks on the credo of Superchargers
![Renault, through Mobilize, will embark on the adventure of ultra-fast charging sockets.](https://www.automobile-magazine.fr/asset/cms/800x449/205540/config/153108/renault-par-le-biais-de-mobilize-se-lancera-dans-laventure-des-prises-de-recharge-ultra-rapides.jpg)
No offense to Tesla who paved the way, Mobiliser will also offer, during 2024, a network of Superchargers. Relying on the network of Renault dealers, a set of 200 fast charging points, including 90 in France, the others will be in Spain, Italy, Germany and Benelux. All will be located less than 5 minutes from a motorway exit. Each site will be accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, will offer 6 prices, with a maximum capacity of 400 kW and the planned network is a distance of 150 km between each of them on the main axes in France.
Mobilize indicates that the storage system will be able to deliver an instantaneous power of 600 kW. Useful precision, it is not only the Mobilize and Renault models that will be invited, this network will be open to all. Finally, Mobilize presents the Solo concept, a covered single-seat scooter 1.37 m long, 90 cm wide and 1.75 m high. As well as the Ileo project (see our photo gallery), a modular and nomadic totem. Mobilize Ileo includes a 22 kW DC type outlet.
