Johnny Depp signs autographs before Jeff Beck’s concert in New York ahead of Amber Heard’s appeal
Johnny Depp smiled at fans waiting outside her show in New York as she returned to the states to perform with Jeff Beck on a US tour after spending the summer in Europe.
59-year-old actor appeared to be in high spirits before the show as he signed autographs and chatted with legions of loyal followers at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester.
Depp wasted no time in his favorite pastimes, even though he was involved in a multi-million dollar defamation case with his ex-wife. Amber Heardin June, and joined Beck on the road even before the verdict was read in court.

Depp’s signature style was on display as he stood outside in a black blazer with white embroidered details and layers of necklaces and scarves over a black vest.

The “Edward Scissorhands” actor wore blue mirrored sunglasses over his eyes to match a striped newsboy cap.
He recently released a catalog of songs with Beck called “18,” and two of the ballads on the 13-track album were reportedly written by Depp and allegedly directed at his ex.
Depp was awarded $10.35 million in damages after a jury found Heard defamed Depp in all respects. a six-week trial in Virginia accused of domestic violence and sexual harassment.

Heard lost the defamation casebut she was awarded $2 million in a counterclaim after a jury found that Depp defamed her through his lawyer.
On “Sad Motherf—kin’ Parade,” Depp says, “You’re sitting there like a dog with a seven-year itch… If I had a dime, it wouldn’t touch your hand.”
The album has been in the works for the past three years and also features covers of Motown musicians in addition to songs by the Beach Boys, John Lennon and the Velvet Underground.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star originally asked for a $50 million payment in a 2018 Washington Post oped Heard wrote, which did not specifically name Depp, but discussed her experiences of domestic violence at the hands of a former partner. Heard counter demanded $100 million in damages.
Less than a month from the decision, Heard filed a complaint to overturn the judgment. “We believe the court made errors that prevented a fair and just verdict under the First Amendment. Therefore, we are appealing the verdict,” Heard’s spokesman said in a statement.
A spokesperson for Depp said there was no basis for the complaint.
“The jury heard extensive evidence presented during the six-week trial and reached a clear and unanimous verdict that the defendant himself defamed Mr. Depp on a number of occasions,” the spokesperson said. “We remain confident in our case and that this verdict will stand.”
His attorney, Camille Vasquez, told Fox News Digital on his DC show, “I think we’re really confident in the case we presented, the verdict, and I like our chances of an appeal.”
