Innsbrucker AC II rotates game against Innsbruck West II outnumbered
Ahmet Yildirim, Coach Innsbruck AC II: “In the first half we weren’t really in the game head-on. In addition, there was a red card for preventing a goal chance in the 44th minute. It was also the whole second half with one man less to the point. But still, my boys took control in the second half. Even a goal in the 57th minute by Sadan Alkan didn’t throw us off course. That was a very strong performance – outnumbered – to turn this game. Our first goal to make it 1-1 in the 70th minute came from a Stangl pass to Tolga Ulus. Our 2-1 lead in the 85th minute was a rebound from a free kick – scored by Douglas Ansah-Yalley. A great lob over the goalie by Ahmed Mohamed in the 86th minute was the final point in the 3-1 victory. We slept in the first half, big praise for the performance in the second half!”

Dramatic duel between Rinn/Tulfes II and Thaur II
Christian Plesser, coach SV Thaur II: “The game started as expected on the small pitch in Tulfes. A lot of high balls through the middle and a lot of stabbing in midfield. After about twenty minutes, we were able to combine more playfully thanks to more space and were then usually on the ball earlier than our opponents and took a 1-0 lead thanks to a well-played combination. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take Edis Sakic’s lead into the break and just before the break, we conceded the goal from Hannes Aschbacher to make it 1-1.
The second half started like the first, but we were able to find our way back into our game faster and then deservedly took the lead again. In which we were able to exploit a mistake made by the opponent, dying 2:1 in the lead with a nice hit in the left corner of the cross by Andreas Nagl. In contrast to the first half, we were able to keep up the pressure and were closer to the 3:1 lead, but due to a little carelessness of our defense, which was actually strong, we got the equalizing hit to make it 2:2 by Markus Eigentler. Due to a mistake by the opposing goalie, we were able to take a 3-2 lead again through Edis Sakic and then bring it over time and take the three points home with us!”
