For the moment, many questions remain about the intrusion of an individual into the premises of the Bordeaux judicial court, during the night of Friday October 7 to Saturday October 8, around 5 am. How could this 22-year-old Bordelais, obviously in a state of drunkenness, manage to climb the exterior facade of the building to find himself on a passageway, then eventually arrive above the central atrium?
What was he looking for? Is it a challenge between friends? The young man, balanced several meters high, suddenly tilted into the void. It was the agents of the judicial court’s security service who discovered the body inert on the ground, around 5:25 a.m. The emergency services were alerted and quickly intervened, in vain. The public prosecutor Frédérique Porterie and the duty magistrates of the prosecution immediately went to the site to supervise the findings of the police in charge of the investigation.
The young man should have apparently spent the evening with friends who must be questioned by the investigators to try to determine the chronology of the facts.
“An autopsy will be performed on Monday,” said Olivier Étienne, deputy public prosecutor. The forensic examination will determine the level of alcohol in the blood and, possibly, the presence of narcotics. The investigations are continuing.
