Revenge action in Salzburg will probably be autumn for the DOPS! – Hockey-News.info – All news about national and international ice hockey
The Red Bulls from Salzburg lost 5-2 to HC Bozen yesterday. One scene will probably have an aftermath.
It was in the 32nd minute of the game when Domenico Alberga took down Dominique Heinrich and was only penalized for a 2-minute check to the head. For Heinrich the game was over, for Alberga it continued, but the matter was not over yet.
At the beginning of the third period, defender Tyler Lewington went to the face-off with only one goal: he immediately dropped his gloves when the puck dropped and beat up Alberga, thus punishing the Italo-Canadian in his own way.
The referees, who were completely overwhelmed that evening, gave Lewington a 2+5 minute penalty and Alberga a 5 minute penalty. It remains to be seen whether this will be done, but one can assume that the Department of Player Safety will take care of this matter.
