The list of closed roads and prohibitions on the occasion of the Pisa Half Marathon scheduled for Sunday 9 October 2022
The 16th edition of the Pisa Half Marathon will take place in the city on Sunday 9 October. To allow the event to take place, the Municipality of Pisa has adopted the following temporary road and parking measures, valid on Sunday 9 October:
Stopping measures
From 04:00 to 13:30establishment of a parking ban with forced removal, in the following streets: Via Nino Pisano, Via A. Moro in the stretch from Via R. Sardo to Via di Balduccio, limited to the first and last 20 meters on both sides, Via R. Sardo, Via di Balduccio, Via Porta a Mare (west side), Via C. Fazio, Via Stampace, Via Curtatone and Montanara, Via S. Frediano, Via Consoli del Mare, Via Canto del Nicchio, Lungarno Sonnino, Via C. Maffi, Via Carducci, Via Fedeli, Piazza Arcivescovado.
Provisions for closure and modification of vehicular traffic
From 05:00 to 11:00establishment of a ban on vehicular transit on Via C. Matilde, taken from Via Luigi Bianchi to the Via Pietrasantina roundabout (only event organizers will be allowed to park for assembly / disassembly of structures in use for the event).
From 08:00 to 13:30establishment of a ban on vehicular traffic in the following streets: Viale Cascine, stretch from Via Pietrasantina to S. Rossore, Via del Capannone.
From 08:00 to 13:30reversal of the one-way street in Via Nino Pisano with new direction from Via C. Fazio to Via Aurelia.
From 08:00 to 13:30, establishment of the one-way street in Via Conte Fazio from Via di Balduccio to Via N. Pisano. * At this stage, the permitted route to enter the city from Via Aurelia will be: Via C. Fazio (schools), Via R. Sardo on the right, Via A. Moro, Via G. di Balduccio.
From 08:00 to 13:30reversal of the one-way street in Via Stampace, with new direction from Via Zerboglio to Via Porta a Mare.
From 08:00 to 13:30: via Don Gaetano Boschi obligation to turn right in via Leopardi with direction via della Faggiola and closing of vehicular traffic up to Piazza Arcivescovado, with the establishment of the alternative direction to allow vehicles parked in this stretch to exit in via Leopardi.
From 08:00 to 13:30closure to vehicular traffic of Via S. Lorenzo, stretch from Via S. Cecilia to Via Carducci and obligation to the right at the intersection with Via S. Lorenzo Piazza Martiri della Libertà towards the latter, except direct in Via S. Cecilia.
From 08:00 to 13:30, traffic to the Lungarno Galilei vehicle, closure allowed only to parked vehicles transit with obligation to turn left at the Lungarno Galilei – Piazza XX Settembre intersection towards Corso Italia, abolishing the pedestrian area on the latter. Obligation to right Via del Cottolengo and mandatory crossing up to Via Mazzini towards Piazza S. Antonio following the indications of the staff present on site.
From 08:00 to 13:30compulsory route for those who leave Via delle Belle Donne: Obligation to right going along the Lungarno Gambacorti in the opposite direction and upon reaching the intersection with via Toselli obligation to right towards that road continue towards Corso Italia up to Via del Cottolengo;
From 08:00 to 13:30reversal of the direction of travel of the stretch of Via Crispi that goes from Via S. Paolo to Via Lavagna and obligation to turn left at the exit from Via San Paolo;
From 08:00 to 13:30establishment of the prohibition of vehicular transit in the following streets: Via Lenze, Via Perin del Vaga, Via Vecelio, Via dell’Argine, Via G. Da Fabriano, Ponte del Cep, Via II Settembre, Via Porta a Mare on the river side, Ponte della Cittadella , L.no Sonnino, Ponte Solferino with North / South direction, Lungarno Gambacorti, Via Mazzini, Via D’Azeglio, Via B. Croce, Piazza Toniolo, Via Bovio, L.no Galilei, Ponte di Mezzo, L.no Pacinotti, (except North lane exiting Via S. Maria with obligation to the right towards Ponte Solferino), Via Curtatone and Montanara, Via S. Frediano, Piazza dei Cavalieri, Via Consoli del Mare, Via Carducci, Via Fedeli, Via C Maffi, Via Camozzo, Via San Ranierino.
Closure of Via B. Croce to the vehicular addressing it on Viale Bonaini; allow only vehicles parked in Via B. Croce to exit with the obligation to turn left into Via Queirolo; adopt measures in Via B. Croce to delimit and distinguish the two lanes present with the presence of personnel to optimize the performance.
Obligation to turn right at the roundabout v.le D ‘Annunzio / v. 2 September with direction via Livornese, for vehicles coming from the coast.
The intersection between via C. Matilde – Cascine – Pietrasantina – Cammeo and the Aurelia NordCascine intersection will be closed to traffic for the time necessary for the competitors to pass.
Closure of Via San Zeno from the intersection with Via Buonarroti, directing the traffic on said Via for those coming from Largo San Zeno, thus for via Buonarroti exiting on Via San Zeno, you must turn right towards the Largo San Zeno roundabout; allow only vehicles in the parking lot in Via San Zeno to transit in the normal direction of travel for the exit.
