Brazilian arrested for killing ex-wife in Portugal – 08/10/2022 – Daily life
A 34-year-old Brazilian was arrested after killing an ex-wife in front of the couple’s three children, in the early hours of last Wednesday (5), in Sintra, Portugal. He also assaulted his 14-year-old stepdaughter, leaving her seriously injured.
According to the Judiciary Police of Portugal, Átila Phoebus Duarte invaded the house of his ex-wife, Brazilian nutritionist Cássia Adriane Moreira Ciríaco, 34, armed with a knife and attacked with several blows. She lived there.
He then hit his daughter, according to Portuguese police, wise men from Cásia on the head. She is hospitalized in serious condition.
ONE Sheet had not located Attila’s defense until this Saturday afternoon (8).
The couple’s children aged 2, 5 and 8 were present as an 8-year-old couple. It was the oldest child who called the police, who carried out the Alentejo region.
After being arrested, according to Portuguese authorities, Átila threw himself from the police car while being taken to the police station and was marked. He is hospitalized under escort. Upon discharge, he will be assigned to a unit in the penitentiary system.
Átila and Cássia were from Mariana, in Minas Gerais, but had lived in the European country for about three years. The couple was separated, but he did not accept the end of the relationship.
The Judiciary Police stated that Cássia had already registered complaints of domestic violence against her ex-partner.
A relative of Cássia, who asked not to be named, reported that the children are being cared for by an uncle, the victim’s brother, who also lives in Portugal. As the nutritionist’s parents already exist, the family’s idea is to keep the children in the country, all together, as they consider it to be the best option at this time.
To pay for Cassia’s burial, which will be in Portugal, and help with the costs of keeping the children in the country, the family opened an internet crowdfunding fundraiser.
The financing was opened on Thursday night (6) with a target of R$ 50,000, but by the beginning of the afternoon it had already won over the supporters and approved this Saturday R$ 66,925.
