The twinning between Montegiardino (San Marino) and Bléré (France) has been renewed
A quarantine of people left Montegiardino last weekend for Bléré (France) to renew and rediscover the friendship between the two twinned realities since 2017.
There delegation of the council of Castello di Montegiardino for the visit to Bléré (France)led by the captain of Castello di Montegiardino, Giacomo Rinaldiit was made up of some members of the twinning committee, archers and drummers of the Cerna of the Long Arches of San Marinoby a representation of the San Marino Crossbowmen Federationby the general manager of the local football team La Fiorita and by some citizens.
The delegation was received with great warmth and affection by the mayor of Bléré, Fabien Nebeland by the entire population who hosted the entire representation in their homes.
Among the highlights, a visit to the city of Amboise, where the first of two performances was held outside the friendly city of Bléré.
The drummers of the Cerna dei Lunghi Archi di San Marino and the San Marino Crossbow Federation first gave a show in the Leonardesque city, then they performed in the park of the splendid castle of Chenonceau, arousing admiration and enthusiasm among their great visitors who crowded the spaces on a sunny September Sunday.
Over the weekend there was no lack of institutional moments and high-level meetings: the deputy of the French assembly Daniele Labaronne attended various moments on Saturday and Sunday, including the bronze visit depicting a stylized Leonardo lying on the bank of the Cher river, donated by the Republic of San Marino in 1935 to represent the gratitude of San Marino to the French Republic which had welcomed numerous its emigrants.
During the visit, preparation felt by the citizens of Bléré, there was no lack of incomparable moments such as the very complementary moments of typical products including the Romagna piadina with ham or the demonstration of ancient weapons, crossbow bow.
The performance of the national anthems by the Orchestra de Bléré is not to be missed.
A friendship that, after three years of inevitable stop caused by the pandemic, is strengthened and recharged by this brief but very rich meeting in terms of culture and human relations.
The future should, of course, see Bléré’s friends boarding the Titan after their last visit in 2018.
