The international community must restrain Azerbaijan’s military aggression
YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde on Wednesday, in connection with the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, Armenian News-NEWS.am has learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
Presenting the details of Azerbaijan’s military aggression against Armenia’s territorial integrity since September 13, FM Armenia particularly emphasized the need to eliminate its consequences and the international community’s targeted and correct response to the aggressor country, as well as the necessity to limit maximalist and aggressive policies which is carried by Azerbaijan. The urgency of an appropriate assessment of the war crimes committed by the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan, in particular the cases of inhumane treatment of servicewomen, was also emphasized.
In addition, the parties touched upon the agenda of Armenian-Swedish bilateral relations and expressed readiness to take active steps towards further expansion and development of cooperation. The deepened cooperation to strengthen the democratic institutions in Armenia was highlighted. Ideas were also exchanged on cooperation on international platforms and partnership between Armenia and the EU.
