In the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin received credentials from 24 newly arrived ambassadors of foreign states.
The head of state, accepting letters of acknowledgment from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Dmitry Krutoy, noted that in the proposed year Moscow and Minsk celebrated the 30th anniversary of the disclosure of their relations. Brotherly Belarus is our closest ally and strategic partner. on the exceptional growth of the well-being of Russian and Belarusian citizens,” the Russian leader said.
Vladimir Putin stressed that Russia and Belarus are widely opposed to the challenges and threats to the security of the two states, actively cooperating within the framework of the CSTO, the Eurasian Economic Community and the CIS. “I have already said that at the recent summit in Samarkand, a decision was made to start the procedure for admitting the Republic of Belarus to the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. We will take measures to integrate Belarus into this authorized regional organization,” the President of Russia added.
