“Pensiero d’Amore”: the San Marino Music Band on stage in Amatrice
“Six years after the earthquake that devastated central Italy, the Republic of San Marino will bring its message of closeness and affection to the inhabitants of Amatrice, one of the centers most affected by the earthquake. In a few seconds, on that night of August 24, 2016, the lives of many people, of an entire community, were broken ”.
To make it known a press release of the State Secretariats for Tourism, Work and Culture.
“And it is to them that San Marino intends to bring its own sign of solidarity, support and hope, also to express the gratitude of all to those who, from the very first hours of the tragedy, spent their time making an effective contribution to addressing the emergency: police, civil protection, voluntary associations, ordinary citizens.
Today Amatrice, like the other municipalities hit in the crater of the earthquake, is facing a difficult and complicated path of rebirth and restart to look to the future.
Under the title “Pensiero d’more”, which expresses affection and closeness to the affected populations, the San Marino Concert Band – on the afternoon of Sunday 9 October – will perform at the Auditorium della Laga, a true social gathering point for the city, wanted by the International Red Cross.
A concert designed to be close to the population of Amatrice and at the same time testify to the gratitude towards all those people who from all over the world have wanted, in various ways, to help with the reconstruction.
A representation of the Republic of San Marino will be attended by the Secretaries of State for Tourism Federico Pedini Amati, at Work, Teodoro Lonfernini and for Culture, Andrea Belluzzi who will be present by the Mayor of the city, Giorgio Cortellesi.
The event is organized in collaboration with the Municipal Administration of Amatrice ”.
