Pause café UNADEV consacrée à l’audiodescription, lundi 19 septembre » La lettre économique et politique de PACA
Winner of the call for projects initiated by UNADEV in 2019, the Le Havre association “Les Yeux Dits” was able to benefit from its financial support to carry out its ambitious project to audio-describe 100 masterpieces of French cinema. visually and hearing impaired.
UNADEV has also provided financial support to the association Le Cinéma Parle for the audio description of 8 cinema courts. Its objective is thus to promote inclusive cinema and audio description.
On the occasion of this new Coffee Break, we will return to the launch, on September 15, 2022, of the collection of these 100 LaCinetek films, but also to the use of audio description extended to other arts.
The impact of the work carried out around the dissemination of these works will also be discussed from a societal angle; still little recognized, it would seem, however, that their scope is not limited to people with disabilities.
We will end with accessibility in the broader sense that revolves around the world of audio-described cinema and adapted solutions, including an application under development.
The UNADEV “Coffee Break” is a time for convivial sharing, a break for a coffee, to discuss visual impairment or around people and projects related to visual impairment.
This meeting aims to change the way people look at disability and to raise awareness of the daily lives of blind and partially sighted people.

About the‘UNADEV
The National Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired (UNADEV), created in 1929 in Bordeaux, is a recognized assistance and charity association. 90 years old, the association has since developed on the national territory thanks to its eight regional centers, its nursing homes and numerous local partner associations. Its actions focus on three missions: welcome, train, support to bring about autonomy, reveal talents, and promote links and mutual aid between peers; make known, defend and carry the voice of blind and visually impaired people and contribute to the construction of a resolutely inclusive society by promoting accessibility, research and innovation in the service of improving the daily lives of the blind and visually impaired and fighting against discrimination. And this thanks to the support of public and private partners, donors and our human resources. www.unadev.com
