Minister of Territorial Cohesion announces Portugal 2030 competitions for October
“I hope, I hope, in October at the latest, the first tender notices for centers to open schools and schools that mapped with Priority (P) 1 and we will mature projects3 years that are scheduled for P2 or P the projects initially mature, provided that They will be validated and ready to launch a contest”, said Ana Abrunhosa.

“We have the capacity to work on several solutions, one of them is terminating contracts that did not have to be executed in Portugal 2020 and transferring those contracts to Portugal 2030”, stressed the Minister of Territorial Cohesion.
Another of the solutions that is being worked on by the phasing of projects, “which means that part is financed in Portugal 2020 and another part in Portugal 2030”, he explains in a very technical intervention aimed at the audience of mayors.
“But, in order to phase projects, the part that goes to Portugal2030 has to comply with the rules of the 22030 project, which are more demanding, so we are working with the European Commission on this possibility of projects from Portugal”, he added.
Confronting journalists with the ANMP’s request for a package of extraordinary support to face the increase in inflation and energy costs, he said that the Government is evaluating “to what extent it can help”.
“We are very well estimated. We know that, in fact, the expenses were doubled or final, with regard to public lighting and other charges, and we are working with the ANMP”, he added.
According to Ana Abrunhosa, the Government is “looking at the municipalities and realizes that they are suffering in this situation, which is something completely exceptional”.
