Sarah El Haïry in Avignon to close the Remembrance General Assembly Français

Sunday September 18, 2022, two days after the visit of the Secretary of State to the Minister for the Armed Forces, it is the turn of Sarah El Hairythe Secretary of State in charge of Youth and Universal National Service, to come to Avignon. A trip that will have for but close the Remembrance General Assembly Français.

“To bring to life the memory of those who died for France”
The Secretary of State will begin his visit by returning directly to the Hôtel Mercure Pont d’Avignon Center where the meeting will take place. She will deliver a speech there before signatory of a Universal National Service agreement between the State and the French Souvenir. This will allow the association “to intervene within cohesion stays, thus making it possible to enrich the modules offered to young people and to promote the Universal National Service throughout the territory”, explains the prefecture in a press release.
At the end of the general meeting, Sarah El Haïry goes to the war memorial in Avignon where she attends a tribute ceremony.
The association Souvenir Français was created in 1887. Recognized as a public utility in 1906, its purpose is to “bring to life the memory of those who died for France in transmitting to new generations, by maintaining memories, a sense of duty, love of country and respect for its values. »
