Grandmother and grandson found after search operation in Skien – are in good spirits
The woman in her 60s and the minor child who were missing in Skien have been found.
There has been a large search operation after they left the cabin at 16.30 on Friday and did not return home as agreed. At 1 o’clock, the police inform that the two have been found.
– Both of the two missing persons were found a good distance from where they left – by crews from Norway’s Rescue Dogs. Both appeared cold, but in good spirits. They receive a heating blanket from the dog handler, and will be fitted by health personnel. The police thank all the volunteers for a great job, writes the police in Sørøst.
A helicopter was used in the search and the police state that “the big button was pressed”. The Telemark Red Cross and the main rescue center in southern Norway, as well as 14 rescue dogs and an operative manager from Norwegian Rescue Dogs, also participated in the search.
