Experts: Companies need to become more flexible

Companies must be prepared to change in order to be able to continue to work successfully in the future. The concrete futurologists at an event of the Salzburg notaries in Seekirchen (Flachgau). These are challenging times for domestic companies – not just since the energy crisis.
According to the Market Institute, the mood among the population is currently at an all-time low. According to pollster David Pfarrhofer, 58 percent of the population has a negative view of the future.
“We are currently in a low mood like we haven’t been in a long time or at all. For me as a company, of course, this means that I have to react. I might need new ideas, new products, maybe have to make savings in some areas. And finally: we always say that activity is important, but activity has rarely been as important as it is now,” says the expert.
“Will we also be able to solve challenges”
Some companies are changing their product range, creating more flexible working hours for their staff, or relying on digitization. Challenging times are coming, but entrepreneurs can and will find solutions, stresses simulation researcher Niki Popper. “You can put it a bit nasty: we are not so good that we could not improve something and actually deal with the problems. And if we raise that, then we will also be able to solve the challenges that are coming now,” says Popper.
The companies are under a certain amount of time pressure. Because everyday costs are rising, customers will soon be spending less money, according to the pollsters.
