Bada Huesca stands up and falls with dignity against FC Barcelona
If you can’t beat FC Barcelona, European champion and dominator of Asobal with an iron hand, at least you try to compete until the final. This is what Bada Huesca did this Friday at the Palau Blaugrana. The defeat by five goals difference (35-30) explains that the rojillos, although they have never had a chance to win, have stayed afloat for 60 minutes, with a decent first half and a commendable second. This is the second shortest defeat in the Barcelona feud -the Huesca fell by a goal at the end of the campaign 16-17- and it restores morale to a block that comes from losing unexpectedly in the Palace against Valladolid.
A first exclusion of Blaz Janc has led to a seven meters that Hackbarth could not take advantage of at the start. Emil Nielsen, the Danish goalkeeper who acts as an alternative to Pérez de Vargas, has become a constant headache at the start of the match. The Bada put together long attacks but did not hit and did not prevent the locals from running. The initial disadvantage, cooked over a slow fire (3-0), took five minutes to reduce, with the first goal coming from Benites, to which Suárez and again the Brazilian have given continuity to approach (4-3) and open a tap that has not been closed for the next half hour.
The Huesca have woken up in static and on the counterattack, with a 1-4 run that has led them to catch up on the scoreboard (5-5). Magnificently led by Suárez, Nolasco’s men have been fine-tuned in medium-distance shots as a way of getting around Barça’s iron defence. Benites has become strong in the pivot and the match has become a fun run in which the rojillos have become strong. Armed to the teeth in defense (7-7). The next growth spurt for the Catalans was about to fall, and with new subjects below and very fast above, as always, they have returned to go with a 4-0 (11-7).
After the first quarter of an hour, the two teams have begun to rotate and Bada has tried to get closer to more than two goals. With the dangerous feeling for Barça that they applied the law of minimum effort, or at least that they only pressed when they were in a hurry (13-11). Both teams were right in a very entertaining game and, yes, disputed. The problem with this Barcelona is that, in the blink of an eye, they escape again (17-12). Leo Terçariol, imperial, has prevented the Catalans from taking off definitively before the break. The academy player Pepe Floris has dared with two goals and the period has passed like a sigh, without timeouts and open face attacks (21-18).
With changes in the two goals, the Catalans knew that their advantage, short as it was, could always be increased (27-20). The sidereal difference between the two templates was also reflected on the physical plane with a partial 6-2 and maximum difference. Between Suárez and Benites they selected the vital signs of Bada Huesca as far as the forces reached. With the maximum of ten goals (34-24), the game ended with 15 minutes still to play and they already kept as much dignity as possible in the final result. Barça has been dedicated to taking a nap since then. Bada has never lowered its head and has allowed a 0-5 (34-29) to finish very well while the locals seemed to have their heads in other battles.
