Russia has extended the period of storage of its military facilities in Belarus for 25 years.
This is reported Belarusian Guyun.
The State Duma of the Russian Federation ratified the protocols on extending the period of use of vehicles on the territory of Belarus. Earlier, back in March 2022, these protocols were ratified by the self-proclaimed authorities of Belarus.
We are talking about two military facilities that the Russian Federation uses “free of charge”:
- radio engineering unit “Baranovichi”, 70M6 “Volga” – a stationary radar station, an element of the Russian missile guidance exclusion system (SPRN). It is used for excitation and tracking of ballistic missiles and space objects.
- The 43rd communication center of the Russian Navy “Vileika”, the radio station “Antey” is a communication center that captures the meeting and the meeting of the General Staff of the Russian Navy with nuclear submarines on combat duty in the Atlantic, Indian and partially Pacific Oceans. Electronic intelligence and electronic protection are also used. This is from several created radio stations of a single global permanent communication system of the Russian Navy.
According to journalists, the extension of the closure is purely technical, since the lease on both facilities expires on May 30, 2021.
Recall that Alexander Lukashenko allowed the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to fall ill with the invasion of Ukraine from the territory of Belarus. Since February 24, the Russians have launched attacks on Ukraine from the territory of a neighboring state.
At the same time, there is a risk from Belarus and the unification of the Belarusian military for a criminal war against Ukraine. Moreover, Belarus adheres to demonstrative exercises outside the borders. So, on September 9, cases of infection were detected on the territory of Belarus, during which they plan to work out “exemption from the capture of the infected.”
Before that, other exercises continued in Belarus, including joint ones with the Russians. On September 9, it became known that Lukashenka continued training Belarusian servicemen until at least September 17.
