Most recently, ÖFB team boss Ralf Rangnick had already flirted with Dijon Kameri, but the Salzburg shooting star has not yet appeared in the squad for the two Nations League games against France and Croatia.
However, that doesn’t mean that the German doesn’t keep an eye on the 18-year-old.
“I’ve seen the boy in a few games now, including in Lustenau and against Milan, where he played from the start. He’s definitely a player who has the future and will sooner or later have his first with us be used,” explains Rangnick.
It’s easy to explain why the midfielder isn’t there this time: “I decided to leave him with the U19s for this course because they have qualifying games there.”
be clear: “He’s definitely a player that we have on our list and that I think we’ll see in the senior team in the years to come.”
Kameri most recently managed to get promoted from FC Liefering to FC Red Bull Salzburg, for whom he has played in the last four Bundesliga games as well as in the Champions League game against AC Milan and in the ÖFB Cup against Gurten.
