Della Vedova in Rimini – “Rimini and Romagna as a national center for the management of energy resources”
This morning in Rimini the national secretary of + Europe, Benedetto Della Vedova, presented the Romagna candidates to the policies of 25 September. Beside him Simona Viola, candidate for the Senate in the single-member constituency Rimini and Forlì-Cesena with + Europe for the center-left coalition, and the candidates in the proportional constituencies Nevio Salimbeni, Caterina Basevi, Paolo Giubelli, Anna Neri, Santiago Arguello, Matilde Marletta. “We are here to fight for Italy for the good reasons of freedom of this extraordinary land – said Della Vedova -: Romagna and Rimini are one of the most open, welcoming and libertarian places in Italy, so we are a model of an open Italy, which attracts talents, attracts investments, attracts tourists who come to a free land ”. “We are in the field to beat the right of Salvini and Meloni – he continued -, we want to implement our agenda as a future government agenda and it is possible to do so starting from revolutionary Romagna, which may not accept that Italy is governed by anti-European sovereignists rationales on rights. This is the theme we are fighting for ”. “We are in the field to keep Italy anchored to Europe, it is an objective that has to do with our economy, our freedom. The European anchorage is not an abstract thing: it means choosing the destiny and profile of Italy in the coming years. Being protagonists in Europe as we were with Draghi means being able to influence European decisions as protagonists in the interest of Italy. Let’s think about gas: Draghi was the first to ask the question of a ceiling on the price of gas. Today a European decision on the subject of energy and gas is approaching and this alone has the price of energy going down ”. “With the PNRR, the response to the pandemic has arrived in solidarity and power from the European Union and also here from Rimini Unione let’s say Meloni and Salvini have their hands off the PNRR. It is clear that there is, that some costs in the projects need to be reviewed, but it is clear that these are Next Generation EU projects that must serve to make a qualitative leap in infrastructure as well. Digital conversion, energy conversion, infrastructure and reforms are not questions that can be put aside because there is a contingent crisis. I am decisive for the future of Italy and Romagna. Subtracting this money, spending it on current spending means doing a huge wrong to the new generations and if Italy is not able to spend that money well according to the scor objectives agreed with the EU we must give us that in the future this scheme, which has brought 200 billion to Italy, can be replicated “. Simona Viola from her highlighted: “We are playing these elections on the ground of single-member constituencies: whoever takes one vote wins. + Europe is the bearer of a history that also spills over the territory of Romagna. In these days we meet entrepreneurs, companies, cooperatives of which the territory is full and we also perceive from their part the bewilderment with which the center-right wanted this crisis, for having brought down the Draghi government at the beginning of a very serious economic crisis and energetic. + Europe reaffirms its strong support for Mario Draghi’s energy action for families and businesses in this gas crisis that has become a crisis in electricity bills ”. “The nature of Romagna is very interesting – concluded Viola – which, thanks to its natural resources and its particular entrepreneurial and visionary capacity, its international projection capacity and the technological capacity it has the power to develop, could become a real national center management of energy resources. Sun, water, wind are all our free resources. Renewables cost less, are done faster and are the answer in the medium and long term to the bills that all citizens are seeing coming ”.
